1982 Land Rover 101 Forward Control converted into an Overland Camper many years ago by known marque specialist

Whilst the vehicle currently runs and drives , starts and stops , it has recently been partially recommissioned following long term storage for a trip that was cancelled further works may be required prior to driving it straight to Morocco !!

The bodywork has been extended to the rear and a mechanically operated pop top installed allowing occupants to stand up in the rear , there is also an access hatch to the driving cab from the rear .

Complete inside with toilet , shower , cooker and fridge , dining area that drops into a bed . All systems will require servicing and testing due to lack of use

5 New 9.00 x 16 bar grip tyres have been fitted

New wheel cylinders , master cylinders for brakes and clutch and new ally fluid cups recently fitted . A New Stainless steel fuel tank has also been fitted , all parts supplied by able engineering

The engine runs well and has had a new starter motor fitted , it has plenty of power with the 3.5 Slti Mazda Turbo Diesel engine that has been installed . A popular conversion supplied by Motor and Diesel . These engines were fitted in Japanese 7.5 tonne trucks so torque is plentiful and reliability / economy also good .

Mated to the original 4 speed box with an overdrive unit fitted . With high and low transfer gears this really is the go anywhere camper van .

The chassis is solid , we have steam cleaned and wax oiled the chassis no welding was required , we replaced 2 door tops , the rest of the bodywork is great for its age and recently painted in military sand

With some work mainly cosmetic this fabulous machine could be ready for any adventure .
